NorthPoint Bible College is a seminary and also an institution of learning offering courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as pre-bachelor degrees, bachelor’s degrees and master’s degrees in many areas of study.

This 96-year-old American higher education institution has a selective admissions policy/ This higher education institution has an open admissions policy.  International students are welcome to apply for enrollment.

Northpoint Bible College History

Northpoint Bible College, located in Haverhill, Massachusetts is a private university of the Assemblies of God Church. In addition to more than 284 undergraduate students, NBC also boasts of more than 63 students in its graduate courses, bringing the total enrollment to more than 345.

The school has an academic staff of 28 students who teach various courses for students.  North Point Bible College is home to an ethnically diverse student body.  In NBC, about 67% are white, 16% are Hispanic, and 7% are black or African American.  Furthermore, about 68% of students are 24 years old or younger.

NBC Admissions Process

Admission to the university is fairly easy and students are advised to make the most of it.  To begin the NBC admissions process, candidates are required to complete an application form and submit a fee of $35.  A good score on a standardized test such as the SAT or ACT improves an applicant’s chances of gaining admission.

However, NorthPoint Bible College does not focus much on standardized tests.  Interestingly, average SAT or ACT scores for students who gain admission are not available.  Candidates can apply for the courses online.  However, should they need information or want to feel an emotion, they visit the school office at 320 South Main Street, Haverhill, MA 01835.

Average GPA requirements

A higher GPA can improve a candidate’s chances of securing admission to any college.  Also, it is often considered an important factor for acceptance by most institutions.  However, North Point Bible College does not follow this pattern.

Moving on to housing and related expenses at Northpoint Bible College, this fee depends on whether the candidate decides to stay on campus or off campus.  For on-campus housing, students have to pay $14,380 annually, while off-campus housing costs $21,800 annually.

For on-campus students at the university, the total room and board fee is approximately $9,880 per year, while for off-campus candidates the deductible is $15,800.  In addition, candidates will have to pay the sum of approximately $1,800 for books and supplies.  Apart from that, other expenses students should plan to add up to $4,500 for on-campus candidates and $6,000 for off-campus students.

Financial aid for Northpoint Bible College

All students must apply annually for financial aid.  This process begins with the FAFSA.  Although financial aid deadlines vary by school, it is a good idea to apply as soon as possible.  For the upcoming academic year, you can apply for the FAFSA as early as 1 October.

Additional school assistance will depend on the results of the FAFSA.  98% of students attending North Point Bible College receive some form of financial assistance.  62% were awarded federal grants.  While 86% took out federal loans.  Many students also need to apply for additional private student loans.

Distance learning, also called online education, is very attractive to students, especially those who want to further education and work in the field.  At North Point Bible College, exclusively 30 students are enrolled in online courses and 50 students are enrolled in some online courses.

Admission Requirements

Each school requires an application that contains the basics – high school transcript and GPA, application form, and other basic information.  Many schools, as described above, require SAT and ACT scores, as well as letters of recommendation, application essays, and interviews.

NorthPoint Bible College has an open admission policy.  The application fee is $35 for undergraduate application and $50 for graduate study at North Point Bible College.

Many schools set minimum GPA requirements, but often this is the minimum to submit an application without being immediately rejected.  The really important GPA requirement is the GPA you need to have a real chance of entry.  For this, we look at the school’s average GPA of its current students.

Northpoint Bible College is fully accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE). ABHE is recognized by the Washington, DC Department of Education and is a member of the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

CHEA is a comprehensive organization of regional, specialist/professional and national accrediting associations.

Northpoint is a fully accredited Assemblies of God college. and approved by the Michigan Department of Higher Education to award the Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Leadership, and Master of Arts degrees in Practical Theology at the Northpoint Bible College Grand Rapids campus.

North Point Bible College is approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs to train veterans who are entitled to educational benefits under current laws. Any veteran who wishes to join Northpoint under the terms of these laws must file an application with their local Veterans Administration office for approval.

The school will gladly assist veterans in securing benefits under the Title 38 program.
