The St Edward’s scholarship is an award offered by St Edwards University to undergraduate students. St Edwards University is a private catholic university located in Austin, Texas. The university was established in the year 1877 by the Holy Cross congregation which is a catholic congregation of missionary priests and brothers.
St Edward’s University offers 8 bachelor’s and master’s programs with over 50 fields of study in schools of theatre arts, social sciences, business, humanities, and others. It also has about 4,500 students across the graduate and undergraduate programs.
The university also has a portal campus in Anger, France in partnership with the Catholic University of the West. The France Campus was started in September 2008 to give European and American students educational opportunities.

Requirements for admission to St Edward’s University
- Application for admissions into St Edward’s University is usually done online. Applicants can visit the school’s website to start the application process. Payment of 50 dollars application fee is to be made. If applicants submit their applications by the 15th of April for the Fall semester, the fee will be waived.
- Applicants are also required to submit an essay of 500 words or more describing their experiences and how these experiences have influenced their decisions to apply to St Edward’s and their course of study.

For transfer students who have completed the application process and submitted the admission application first to be considered for this award.
To obtain this scholarship, students must maintain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0 or higher, earn at least 24 credit hours per academic year, and must complete at least 75% of coursework (no withdrawal or failure).
Transfer students are eligible to receive this award for 6 semesters (3 years) and must also remain enrolled for a full-time program in the university and must meet all the above requirements.

The scholarship worth is $16,000 and can be used as a tuition fee only which can be renewed annually.

This scholarship was established by the Phi Theta Kappa Alumni Association to support the ideologies of Phi Theta Kappa which are “love of wisdom, the guide of life”.
Eligibility
- Only students who are enrolled in a full-time undergraduate program at St Edward’s University will be considered for this award.
- This scholarship is open to undergraduate students who are at least 24 years old.
- The students must be pursuing a program that includes liberal arts or sciences and has earned more than 30 hours of college credits with a cumulative grade point of average of 3.5 or higher.
- Students must be current members of Phi Theta Kappa.
